This is not a bad film, but it falls short of being a truly great one. My biggest issue lies in its lack of depth. I had hoped for a thorough exploration of Jackson as a person and artist, but instead, the film often feels like an extended concert experience. While visually engaging, it comes at the expense of a compelling narrative. The story itself is rather thin, and the screenplay-surprisingly, given that it was written by John Logan-feels shallow and underdeveloped. I also question whether Antoine Fuqua was the right choice to direct this particular project.
