1- Well This is hard to follow as a remake . Especially when the original The river wild was really that good and I saw it in theaters with Meryl Streep and Kevin Bacon. I am sorry to say that Adam Brody was miscast I still think of him as “Cohen” from the OC nerdy cute guy. Never really got a creep vibe from him they can disguise him with tattoos in his face and body still nerdy. I am sorry Kevin bacon superior a great actor has an edge to him. He can play good and bad in less than nothing. I love him. . Leighton Meester, is ok no Meryl Streep lol. This movie is good for what it is entertainment that’s it.

2- Things this movie has going for it: location is beautiful (entire film is outdoors), some solid acting and directing on scenes that are logistically challenging (rapids, fights in water, etc)
